My name is Yurii. I’m an adventure rider, explorer, and motorcycle enthusiast, living in Cluj-Napoca. For years, I have organized Slow Exploration Rides to lesser-known places, both on and off the road. Today, I help riders explore the wild heart of Romania, combining well-known locations with hidden, off-the-beaten-path tracks.Romania is Europe’s underrated adventure-riding frontier: less crowded, extremely scenic, raw, and culturally rich. Tourism sector here grows tremendously fast - come before it becomes mainstream.

The Philosophy
I specialise in Slow Adventure Riding — an observational, immersive style of travelling across both offroad and asphalt. This style is engineered specifically for heavy motorcycles and scenic, technical routes."Slow" is not a synonym for boring or easy. It ensures that both rider and bike complete the challenging track, safe and intact, while enjoying the unique Romanian scenery. Genuine exploration is always exciting, but it is not necessarily a race.Most riders are obsessed with speed, which is a perfect way to see absolutely nothing. I choose a slower pace because it is safer on technical paths and permits us to actually observe the mountains rather than simply moving from point A to point B.

HIGHLANDS & STRATEGICA:
THE ADVENTURE EXPEDITION
A 5-day offroad expedition (+ some beautiful road patches) engineered for heavy adventure machines. Experience the technical, but manageable riding in the Transylvanian Highlands and high-altitude views of the Strategica military offroad pass in the Southern Carpathians.

ℹ️ This is an adventure expedition, combining predominantly offroad and some mountain road riding. We will trace through the rolling hills in the very heart of Transylvania, hit some beatiful mountain roads in the Apuseni, and roll through a cosy Romanian countryside. And in the end - the Strategica military offroad pass in the Southern Carpathians, an apex predator of Romanian offroad riding. Expect great views every riding day - this route is all about it.Our offroad pace will be relatively slow and observational. This is explicitly designed for riders who prefer enjoying the landscape over pretending to be Pol Tarrés on a fully loaded machine.However, it's not a relaxed riding. The terrain complexity reaches a medium level, meaning quite steep and technical ascends and descends, forest riding, and rocky trails. Sufficient offroad experience and good motorcycle tyres are a must.❗Tyre Requirements: A 70/30 (road/offroad) tyres in excellent condition is the absolute minimum. A 50/50 or more aggressive offroad bias is highly recommended.

TRANSYLVANIA:
THE COMPLETE ROAD EXPEDITION
A 6-day immersive asphalt journey across the high alpine passes and historic locations. The expedition duration depends on the season, because Transalpina and Transfăgărășan are only open from June to October.

ℹ️ An asphalt dream expedition for any type of motorcycles around the entire Transylvania. You will ride through the most famous mountain passes, including Transfagarasan and Transalpina, visit famous Romanian castles like Corvin Castle and Bran Castle, and Romanian monasteries like Voronets and Bârsana, check in at the iconic natural spots like Rimetea and Bicaz Gorge, and more.

ℹ️ Organised offroad or asphalt ONE-TWO day rides from Cluj to all destinations around it. Ready routes, no rambling around.We start from Cluj-Napoca, have a proper adventure ride, and return to Cluj. This map below is just a part of what I have in stock.:)

Cluj is strategically situated between the Apuseni mountains and the Transylvanian Plateau - there are countless tracks on diverse terrain to any taste. Mountain climbing, open hill gliding, straight gravel roads, dense forestry trails, sweeping asphalt curves. And such locations, like Cheile Turzii (Turda Gorge), Rimetea, Transapuseana road will give your memories for your whole life.

During the days, we work on demanding and picturesque tracks. In the evenings, you can explore the old streets of Cluj-Napoca, founded by Romans almost 2000 years ago, and enjoy delicious Romanian cuisine in the city's restaurants and cafes.

So, if you are in Cluj on vacation, on business matters, or transiting Romania to other destinations, you can have a number of shorter adventures during your stay here. Simply contact me, and I'll help you organise proper exploration of hundreds of kilometers around Cluj on any terrain.
